I love fruity cocktails — which is a definite no-no on low carb. I have been experimenting with sugar free water enhancers like Mio and I find that they work really well! I then add some diet 7-up or club soda to make up the difference in the liquid. Not all of them have been raging successes… yet… but this one certainly is!

If you like cherry limeades then this margarita is right up your alley! The Mio takes care of the tangy fruity flavor and the 7-Up gives it a little sparkle. It’s one of those drinks you have to be careful of — it’s easy to drink because it’s so good but it will kick you in the butt if you aren’t careful! Because this is frozen it really doesn’t work well for making in pitchers. Make it one drink at a time for the best texture and flavor.
I garnished this with a sprig of Thai Basil that I have growing in my garden… just because it was pretty. A slice of lime would work really well, too.
